MetroRail is an engineering, consultancy and systems integration company whose main objective is to provide its clients with the most efficient technological solutions for their unique requirements.

MetroRail is a monorail construction and engineering company set up in Nigeria with the stated objective of carrying out monorail architecture and construction projects.

John M. Cashin a geological petroleum technician and company founder researched monorails and their various technical systems for over 25 years. He detected there was a potential market that adapted to his concept of the company - capable of undertaking complex projects, technically innovative, and which would fulfill precisely the needs of the customer.

Based on these facts, the company in collaboration with other technical partners designed a monorail mass transit system to run from Shagamu in Ogun State to Victoria Island in Lagos State. The Ogun State Government has approved the Shagamu to Isheri line of this monorail project whilst the company awaits the approval of the Isheri to Victoria Island line from the Lagos State Government.

This project is proposed in order to provide a fast, safe, convenient, comfortable and reliable means of transporting people within and outside Lagos and Ogun State. Also, to further provide accommodation options for people within the Shagamu to Victoria Island spheres of commercial activity.

The Shagamu to Isheri line is proposed to commence in April 2009. The 1st phase of this line shall start at Isheri- Ojodu Berger and end at a 14km distance heading North to Shagamu. This phase shall be completed within 2 years from the date of commencement.

MetroRail is geared to revolutionize Nigeria by commencing this Monorail Construction project and shall provide the requisite industrial solutions required to enable the smooth implementation of the monorail transit technology.
